The Magnificent 7: The 7th Australian Vapiano opens in Canberra

You can now find seven Vapiano restaurants down under! Here we’ll tell you everything you need to know about the latest Vapiano opening in Canberra and three tips for things to do in the Australian capital!

Come on in!

All good things normally come in threes, but for us that magical number has gone up to seven, with the seventh Vapiano opening in Australia! Our seventh Vapiano opened its doors in Canberra, in March this year and is our first Vapiano in the Australian capital! This city is home to almost half a million Australians, so it’s no wonder the 250 invited guests were especially happy to be invited to the opening party.

The new Vapiano is located in the Canberra Center, a major shopping mall located in the city centre. Here, you will find our restaurant on the ground floor and is easily accessible from the street, so you can fuel up before going shopping!

The restaurant is a spacious 469 square metres and boasts a total of 204 seats, which means that guests can relax and enjoy our pizza and pasta, with a delicious glass of wine or one of our specialty coffees. Guests can order their favourite dishes at the pizza or insalata stations and, pasta lovers will be delighted as there are four pasta stations to choose from! Of course, there is also a designated station for take aways and deliveries too.

Discover Canberra

If the new restaurant opening has you dreaming about taking a trip to Canberra, it’s worth remembering that Australia’s winter is from June to August, and summer is from December to February. So, taking a trip in the cold German winter is a great way to soak up some sun!

Once you’ve arrived in the Australian capital and taken a trip to the new Vapiano, of course, there’s plenty more to discover:

Parliament House

The Parliament House stands out for its architecture. Inside this amazing building complex you will find regular debates by the Senate and the Houses of Parliament, which you can even take part in. There are also free guided tours every day as well as galleries and exhibitions to discover.

Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve

The Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve is located just outside Canberra. Here, you can walk the paths of the Aboriginal people, discover archaeological sites and meet cute Australian animals such as koalas, wombats and kangaroos.

Start the day right in Canberra with a healthy breakfast like these lovely locals from the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. Just a 40 minute drive from the Canberra city centre, you can also see koalas, possums, reptiles and more in the natural setting of Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve. Keep an eye open for wallabies and emus, and you may even catch a glimpse of an elusive platypus. Thanks @tristafreier for sharing your photo with us. #visitcanberra
